  The Heritage Motor Centre is home to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, which maintains the largest collection of classic, vintage and veteran British cars in the world. With 200 classic vehicles on display in the Centre's museum, the collection charts the history of the British car industry from the turn of the century to the present day.

The Centre, set in 65 acres of grounds, has activities to appeal to the whole family, from a gentle stroll through the nature reserve, to the thrill of the Land Rover 4x4 of-f-road experience, and at weekends and school holidays there are go-karts for children and adults, and electric cars for children aged 3 - 7. With a licensed café and a well stocked gift shop, the Heritage Motor Centre offers an entertaining and educational day for the whole family.

However, the Heritage Motor Centre is far more than a visitor attraction, and boasts:

Jaguar Racing Cars Exhibition Opens

From March 19 until June, a new spectacular exhibition of Jaguar Racing Cars ranging from one of the most famous SS 100's built, up to the Jaguar R1 Formula 1 racing car formerly driven by Eddie Irvin. A unique selection of 14 racing cars will be on display at the Heritage Motor Centre over the next three months.

Bikesafe Weekend
3 - 4 April 2004

Superbike champion Leon Haslam will be a guest at the Heritage Motor Centre bike weekend 3-4 April. The event will be opened on Saturday at 11.00 a.m. by Murray Walker - the voice of motorsport. Steve Berry - motorcycle broadcaster will be providing the live commentary during the event.

The Gift Shop Refurbishment Update

THE GIFT SHOP will be closed during refurbishment from 29 March to 2 April, prior to a grand opening by Murray Walker OBE on Saturday morning 3 April. Come and meet the "Voice of Motorsport" in the Gift Shop at 12 noon, special signed copies of Murray's new book will be available to buy.

Land Rover G4 Trail Blazer Arrives In Museum

A Discovery G4 Challenge vehicle from Australia has been handed over by John Edwards, Global Marketing Director of Land Rover to Julie Tew of the Heritage Motor Centre. The new addition with go on display in the Land Rover section of the main exhibition hall

Ford Heritage Vehicles Join Museum Collection

This historic vehicle display at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in Warwickshire has been boosted with the addition of 16 vehicles, on loan from the Essex-based Ford of Britain heritage collection.
